GW accepts the Common Application for both freshman and transfer admission.   The Common Application must be submitted online by the stated deadlines.

In addition, freshman applicants are required to submit the Counselor Recommendation/School Report form, the Teacher Recommendation form, the Early Decision Agreement form (if applying under one of GW's Early Decision programs), and the Mid-Year Report form, all of which are available through the Common Application website.  Students applying for admission to a program in the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design will need to submit a portfolio of 10 to 15 completed works of art as part of the application process. 

Transfer applicants are required to submit the Teacher Recommendation form and the Transfer College Report, which can also be found on the Common Application website. 

Students are required to submit supplementary information such as transcripts and test scores, depending on their application status.  GW also offers prospective students the option of selecting both a primary and an alternate school choice on the application.

Presidential Scholars in the Arts Forms - Fall 2015

Students interested in the Presidential Scholars in the Arts program must submit an online form and will also have to audition during the Presidential Scholars in the Arts audition days, taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2015 and Sunday, February 8, 2015 on campus.

Below are the respective online forms for each department. Students interested in auditioning for more than one department must submit a form to each respective department. The form includes basic biographical information, an essay question, information regarding supplemental required materials to mail in, and specifics on what to bring for your audition/portfolio.
