- Assistant Director
I have slowly worked my way throughout the Southeastern United States before arriving in the nation's capital. Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, I received my bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and my M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. Prior to working at GW, I worked for several years at Tulane University in New Orleans. D.C. is absolutely the most diverse, international community I've ever been a part of, and I am so impressed at the way GW takes advantage of all this city has to offer.
When I'm not busy recruiting the next class of Colonials, I can be found wandering around D.C.'s different neighborhoods with (iPhone) camera in hand, strolling through one of the city's farmers markets, or crossing off a restaurant from my "to eat" list (this is a topic I'm always happy to chat about). I also love to bake and like to use my coworkers as guinea pigs when testing out new recipes.
