Tyson Brown currently serves as the Associate Dean in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the George Washington University. He began his career in admissions at his alma mater, James Madison University, in 2001.
Over the past twenty years, he has worked in a variety of areas within the world of admissions: operations and technology, diversity recruitment, travel coordination, yield programming, scholarship selection, and orientation. He has also worked closely with the Common Application over the last ten years with new member workshops, the applications advisory committee, as well as presentations at the annual conference regarding test-optional admission.
His responsibilities at GW currently include domestic recruitment strategies, data integrations, yield modeling, campus oversight of Salesforce, and evaluation oversight.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, he and his wife have a beautiful seven-year-old daughter and reside in Maryland.
