Jake Deyton

Pronouns: he/him
I was born in a small town in rural Appalachia. In fact, my hometown has fewer citizens than the student population of my first-year residence hall at New York University! At NYU, I majored in acting at the Tisch School of the Arts but discovered a new passion while working for the university’s office of undergraduate admissions. When I was young, the idea of making it to a big, diverse university seemed impossible. I want to make that dream a reality for prospective students who feel like I once did.
I moved to the D.C. area in 2019, following the man of my dreams, and have never looked back. I love the city’s nightlife, community feel, food scene, and the wonderful community fostered at the George Washington University! In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, singing, writing stories, and playing with my cats, Elphie and Fiyero.
