The World Needs Your Story

Apply to GW

We are pleased that you are interested in applying to the George Washington University (GW). GW is a selective institution that receives applications from every state and more than 120 countries.

We are looking to enroll a bright, talented and diverse body of students who will take advantage of the many unique opportunities that the university and Washington, D.C., have to offer.

Get Started

Each year, we welcome freshmen, transfer, and international students to our campuses from 50 states and more than 120 countries. Each group has unique application requirements, deadlines, eligibility information, and scholarship opportunities.

Before you begin your application process, determine which type of applicant you are so you know what steps you have to take.

Many high school seniors and college transfer students across the world are navigating the college application process as their families recover from natural disasters. If application fees, application deadlines, or submitting test scores present an obstacle as you complete your GW application, please reach out to us at gwadm@gwu.edu so we can have a conversation to ease some of the stress surrounding the college application process.
