As the Associate Director for Transfer and Spring Admissions, I am thrilled to engage with applicants at varying points in their education - from high school students to community college students to military veterans - and help them envision what a GW degree can offer them. I also coordinate admission to our three partner scholars programs at The American University in Paris, at St. Louis University-Madrid, and at Harlaxton College (for our UK Scholars). I liaise with our Athletic Department to support our athletic recruiting process.
I began my career in higher education as a Student Affairs professional, developing community in residence halls; I have also worked in new student orientation, alumni relations and fundraising/development.
I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Virginia and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Vermont. I have lived in DC for over 20 years, and my husband and I have raised four children in London and here in the District. (We are now turning our attention to our Basset Hound, Labrador Retriever and two cats, all of whom are only slightly cheaper to raise.)
My favorite part about being a member of the GW community is the marvelous people I have met along the way – colleagues, guest speakers, community activists – who have all shaped my own life-long learning! I am excited to be a GW mom as well - Class of 2028!
