Rafael Lemos da Silva

I’m originally from Brazil and studied International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Maria. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in an academic exchange program at the University of Florida, which gave me the chance to experience the U.S. higher education system firsthand.

Before joining George Washington University, I spent nearly five years as an EducationUSA Adviser. In that role, I guided students through the U.S. college application process and organized outreach programs that connected thousands of students with U.S. universities.

At GW, I represent the university at high school visits and educational fairs, sharing the benefits of a GW education with prospective students around the world. In my free time, I enjoy visiting different neighborhoods, trying new activities, and seeing how Washington D.C. has something for everyone!
