University of the Arts transfer opportunity

University of the Arts students are welcome at the George Washington University's Corcoran School of the Arts & Design. GW is committed to working with you to expedite your transfer experience so you may continue your academic and artistic journey. We offer both B.A. and B.F.A. degrees in a wide range of programs.

The Corcoran School of the Arts & Design prepares its graduates to be the next generation of global leaders. The school functions as an incubator for artists, designers, and scholars, who learn from internationally renowned faculty at the intersection of creativity and social innovation. It is an academic experience like no other—inspiring students to research, create, and innovate with the potential to shape the world around them.

We are a community of civically engaged artists and practitioners, aiming to impact the world through social change. Our students are poised not just to join the creative field of their choice but to define it for themselves as they become well-versed in both practice and research. Our vibrant home in D.C. means that our students tap into a nerve center of international culture and government. We have a strong track record for placement with top-ranked employers after graduation because our students can work and study at some of D.C.’s most prestigious companies, galleries, museums, and design firms.
